Terms of Service
Last updated June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of columbiawebstudio.com and the website design, hosting, and care services provided by Columbia Web Studio. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Our services
Columbia Web Studio designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for local businesses. The specific deliverables, timeline, and price for your project will be confirmed in a written proposal or invoice before work begins.
Pricing & payment
- Build fee. One-time setup fees start at $1,000 (Basic) and $1,750 (Premium); Custom projects are quoted individually.
- Deposit. A 50% deposit is due before work begins, with the balance due at launch.
- Care plan. Monthly care plans (from $100/month) cover hosting, maintenance, and small edits, and are billed monthly in advance. “Small edits” means text, photo, hours, and offer changes — not redesigns or new pages.
- Care plans renew monthly and may be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. Build fees are non-refundable once work has begun.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, content, and timely feedback, and to confirm that any materials you give us (logos, photos, text) are yours to use. You are responsible for the legality of your business and the content you ask us to publish.
Ownership
Upon full payment of the build fee, you own the rights to the final website design and content created specifically for you. We retain rights to underlying code frameworks, tools, and components we reuse across projects, and the right to feature the work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.
Hosting & third parties
Sites are hosted on third-party infrastructure and may rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or pricing of those providers, though we will work to keep your site online and current under an active care plan.
Cancellation
You may cancel a care plan at any time with 30 days’ notice. If a care plan lapses, hosting and maintenance stop, and your site may go offline. We will provide a reasonable export of your content on request.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Columbia Web Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the prior three months.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
